Michael Jacobsen is an Australian born entrepreneur and businessman based in Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from UTS in Sydney, a financial Diploma from the Australian Securities Institute and is a former Justice of the Peace. He also sits on the Board of the Australian Centre for Event Management(ACEM), a Division of the University of Technology Sydney

Michael’s businesses have historically revolved around entertainment, finance and food and beverage.

He has co-founded and in some cases Angel-funded numerous businesses both small and large, across a variety of business sectors. In Australia, the UK and Europe he has mentored many Start-Ups, Small Businesses and growth businesses and guided them forward, assisting to elevate their market position globally.

Michael co-founded, co-owned and was founding co-producer of Dirty Dancing – The Classic story on Stage which held its World Premiere in Australia in 2004 and has since played in Holland, Canada, the USA, Germany and London’s West End. Dirty Dancing is recognized as one of the most commercially successful stage shows of all time and had grossed in excess of US$500m at the time of Michael's exit.

Michael is passionate about business education and in addition to business mentoring, Michael guest lectures at Universities in Sydney and London; is a Mentor at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy in London, has acted as a Resident Entrepreneur for Start Up Britain, is on the steering Committee for the National Association of Colleges and University Entrepreneurs in the UK (Creatives), and is a Mentor for TV's Dragon's Den personality Doug Richard's School for Creative Start Ups.
